1. About these terms

This website, akerstroms.au, is operated by Remote Control Parts Pty Ltd (ABN 21 684 936 730, ACN 684 936 730) (“we”, “us”, “our”), based at 8 Hovea Pl, Macquarie Fields, NSW 2564, Australia. These terms apply whenever you browse this site, contact us through it, or purchase products or services referenced on it, whether you’re in Australia, New Zealand, or elsewhere.

By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site or place an order – contact us instead and we’re happy to help directly.

2. Using this website

You may browse this site and use it to research, enquire about, and purchase Sesam and Jupiter Era products for your own lawful business or personal use. You agree not to misuse the site – including attempting to interfere with its operation, scraping content for resale, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

We aim to keep product information, pricing, and stock levels accurate and up to date, but errors can happen. If we discover a pricing or listing error on an order you’ve placed, we’ll contact you before proceeding.

3. Products & pricing

Prices shown on the Remote Control Parts store are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD), exclusive of GST – GST is calculated and added at checkout for applicable items. Prices are current at the time of viewing, but may change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors even after an order is placed, and will always contact you before charging a corrected amount.

We supply genuine Åkerströms Sesam and Jupiter Era remote control products, and Remote Control Parts also carries parts and offers repair services for a range of other major brands, as described at remotecontrolparts.com.au.

4. Orders & payment

Orders for products featured on this site are placed and processed through the Remote Control Parts online store, via Square, our payment provider. Square handles all payment card details directly – we don’t store your card information ourselves. By placing an order, you confirm the payment details provided are accurate and that you’re authorised to use the payment method.

An order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation from Square. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order – for example, if an item turns out to be unexpectedly out of stock – in which case we’ll notify you and refund any payment taken.

5. Shipping

Shipping timeframes, methods, and costs are set out in our Shipping Policy. Once your order has been handed to the carrier, it travels at your risk – we aren’t responsible for loss, theft, or damage occurring in transit. We don’t purchase additional transit insurance on shipments beyond the carrier’s own standard cover, unless you expressly request extra cover and we agree to arrange it (at your cost) before dispatch.

6. Returns & warranty

Our approach to returns, faulty items, and manufacturer warranty is set out on the Remote Control Parts Warranty & Returns page. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act, or other applicable law that can’t be excluded by agreement.

7. Repairs & service bookings

Repair jobs registered or tracked through the Remote Control Parts repair portal are subject to a separate quote-and-approval process – no repair work begins until you’ve approved a quote. See the Remote Control Parts Repairs page for how the process works.

8. Intellectual property

The content on this site – including text, images, logos, and design – belongs to Remote Control Parts Pty Ltd or is used with permission from the relevant brand owners (including Åkerströms). You may not reproduce or reuse it without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or products purchased through it, beyond what’s required under the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act, or other non-excludable consumer protections. 10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, regardless of where you’re accessing this site from or placing an order. This doesn’t remove any consumer guarantee or protection you’re entitled to under the law of your own country that can’t be excluded by agreement, including New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act for New Zealand customers.
